System & Network Administrator

1. Supplier and Network Management

  • a. Ensure delivery of reliable, cost-effective, and profitable services to customers
    • Manage supplier contract to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements
    • Maintain list of outstanding supplier actions/defaults/issues
  • b. Maintenance of the in-country Avanta voice and data network for both client side and internal operations
    • Client-side internet: 10mbps direct internet connection
    • Voice traffic & PSTN: multiple PRI connections
    • Ensure maximum availability and reliability of the network
  • c. Increase confidence and assurance levels of Avanta as a technology services supplier
    • Improve service delivery (time, reliability)
    • Manage equipment rooms and patching to high standards
    • Review/refresh SLA and support materials
    • Contribute to technology-related marketing material
    • Maintain tested resilience/recovery plans per agreed Risk Register
  • d. Support Sales and Operations Teams
    • Review/update technology procedures and training
    • Provide pre-sales support for complex technology sales

2. Voice Service Management

  • e. Configure and manage voice services
    • Use Mitel/Cisco IPT technologies to deliver voice services
    • Setup includes voicemail, hunt groups, pickup groups, translation patterns
    • Physical re-patching of Cat6 cabling
    • Maintain patching records and handset inventory
    • Proactively manage telephony stock availability

3. Internal (Business Support) Technology Provision

  • f. Review, maintain, refresh enterprise IT architecture
    • Provide desktop support to India Team
    • Daily system monitoring (hardware, servers, logs, backups)
    • Maintain in-country servers if needed
    • Perform and verify backups, offsite as necessary
    • Ensure full recovery within 12 hours of infrastructure failure
    • Maintain supplier relationships

4. Other Responsibilities

  • Support Avanta's vision, values, and objectives
  • Role may change per company needs
